Credit Hire

Credit Hire enhances the driver experience and reduces your expenditure. We offer a unique service to drivers and financial support for the fleet following 'Non Fault' accidents.

Drivers will usually have a particular category of vehicle to meet their business/personal requirements. They will be looking to the Fleet Manager for assistance in arranging a suitable replacement. Hiring vehicles can be expensive and may not always be an option. If so, the driver may be asked to manage with a repairer courtesy car - this will most likely be a category A/B vehicle.

With Credit Hire, Claims Solutions will arrange a replacement hire vehicle of a category equivalent to their own. Your drivers will not be disadvantaged. We will fund the vehicle and then pursue payment directly from the insurers of the responsible party.

The hire vehicle will be supplied for the period that the driver's own vehicle is off the road.

Uninsured Loss Recovery

Uninsured Loss Recovery is the bane of the fleet manager's life - but not if you're part of the Claims Solutions scheme.

We'll do all the chasing for you, deal with all the legal people and finalise details as quickly as possible. We will:

  • Assess liability and do our best to recover your losses.
  • Place claims with solicitors to negotiate settlement.
  • Handle any personal injury claims for your driver or passengers.
  • Provide you with the services of our dedicated claims team so you can always check on progress.

Total Losses and Thefts

What happens if the car is a write-off?

If the vehicle is declared a total loss, we will protect your assets by minimising any shortfall. We will:

  • Organise salvage bids for vehicles with third party insurance and dispose of them on your behalf.
  • Liaise with the insurer to negotiate a settlement figure (wherever appropriate).
  • Make sure you know of any likely shortfall before we accept an offer.

If a car is stolen, you should report it to the police immediately. If the vehicle remains un-recovered we will:

  • Negotiate a settlement figure on your behalf.
  • Inform you of any shortfall before offers are accepted.
  • Provide GAP insurance cover to protect you from potential losses (the Master Hire Agreement has all the details).

Please note that rentals are payable in full until total settlement is received. Rest assured that these payments will be credited back to the date of the incident (or 28 days after we supply a replacement vehicle).
