Lex announces sole supplier fleet-management agreement with Terex plc

Terex plc, the leading manufacturer of equipment for use in various industries, including construction, infrastructure, and mining has signed a three-year sole supplier agreement with Lex to manage Terex’s fleet of 185 vehicles in the UK.

The agreement comes thirteen years after Lex first started working with Terex, initially as part of a dual-supplier arrangement. As sole supplier, Lex will deliver a range of products to Terex, including claims solutions, daily rental and licence checking as part of an overall duty of care solution.

Lex Momentum, Lex’s in house consultancy team were instrumental in winning the deal with Terex. Lex Momentum conducted a fleet policy review, and addressed the fleet’s whole life costs. In addition, car allowance levels were also measured, to ensure that they were competitive.

Julie Thomson, Fleet Manager at Terex commented: “Over the past thirteen years Lex has consistently delivered excellent levels of service in managing fifty percent of our UK fleet of vehicles. As a result, when we conducted a fleet review we decided that based on the previous thirteen years of experience, Lex would be in the best position to manage the entire fleet.”
Nigel Stead, Managing Director of Lex comments: “The three-year sole supplier agreement between Lex and Terex is a great endorsement of the service levels delivered by Lex and is in recognition of the high standards of account management that Lex has delivered over the last thirteen years.”
